Spine 101: Why Your Spine Matters

I find that the terminology of spine medicine is very confusing for patients. Spondylosis, spondylolysis and spondylolisthesis are terms I use every day, but that I sometimes forget, may leave my patients bewildered.

In this webinar, I had an amazing opportunity to talk directly with patients and both chat about the basics of back and neck pain, and also answer common questions. In the video we cover topics such as why your spine matters, what happens to it as you age, and what are some of the common treatments. We learn about modern surgical techniques such as kyphoplasty, spinal decompression and spinal fusion. I hope you find it interesting as we break down and demystify some of the misconceptions in spinal treatment and learn more about common back ailments.

A special thank you to Shaun Ralston from Sutter Health for organizing the talk and of course to all my patients throughout Northern California who inspire me daily as they overcome back and neck problems proving there is hope.
